You don’t truly understand the amount of planning that goes into a wedding, until you’ve personally planned one … And when it comes down to it, the wedding details are such an important (and sometimes overlooked) part of a wedding.  Even though I’m a wedding photographer in Manhattan, Kansas, I had the opportunity to photograph Jamie and Tevan’s wedding at Sandals Ochi in Jamaica, planned by Niki with Care Travel and bride, Jamie.  And let me tell you, Jamie had the wedding details on lock.  I was floored with the immense amount of details that Jamie managed to incorporate into her wedding, even though she was 1,500 miles from home!

The wedding details began even before their wedding day, with the rehearsal dinner.  Jamie brought some of the table decorations for the rehearsal dinner with her on the trip.  Let’s just say her dedication didn’t go to waste!

Jamie and Tevan chose a beautiful location for their rehearsal dinner, and it all came together perfectly!

Then came the wedding day!  All of Jamie and Tevan’s guests were staying hydrated with these amazing tumblers that they gave to all of their guests as a wedding favor!

At the time of the ceremony, Jamie provided her guests with paper fans (coordinating with their wedding colors of course!)

Even though Jamie and Tevan had 50 of their closest friends and family in attendance at their Jamaica wedding ceremony, there were a few family members that weren’t able to attend.  But Jamie perfectly incorporated them into her wedding details also!  Her tribute to her grandparents on her bouquet were so heartwarming.

Later on, Jamie had the flowers moved from her ceremony to the promenade for their reception to use as table centerpieces.  This was such a brilliant decision on Jamie’s part because if you’ve ever ordered flowers to an island, you know that it can be a huge expense, so finding ways to reuse what you’ve already ordered is key!  A gorgeous addition to the centerpieces were the table signs designed by graphic designer, Andrea Chamblin!  She designed table numbers and seating arrangement signs, in addition to menus and thank you table signs for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception!
