Houston Street Ballroom Wedding | Brandon+Chelsea | Manhattan, KS
Happy 1-year anniversary to Brandon & Chelsea! They celebrated their spring wedding at Houston Street Ballroom on April 23, 2016. I started the day by capturing the details of their wedding ceremony and reception which were both located at the Houston Street Ballroom. Brandon and Chelsea were the first couple that I had heard of to have both their ceremony and reception at that venue and it worked out perfectly!
After capturing their incredibly beautiful wedding decor and details, I headed to where the ladies were getting ready at the Hilton Garden Inn. Chelsea was a stunning bride! I remember showing her a photo of herself that I had taken in their hotel room and she was amazed herself! We headed down to the Blue Earth Plaza, to use the beautiful brick architecture for her bridal portraits, bridesmaids portraits, and a first look with her dad!
Chelsea and her dad were both in tears during their first look, it was too sweet!
When we were finished with the ladies’ set of photos, I walked through the courtyard to the adjacent hotel, Candlewood Suites, where the guys were getting ready. The guys were already incredibly ornery and kept me on my toes right off the bat. I was constantly laughing! We did a few groom and groomsmen portraits at the hotel, and I got Brandon ready for his first look at the Blue Earth Plaza.
During their first look, they had the biggest smiles on their faces! I loved capturing their first look — it was full of emotion and excitement! After the first look, we did a few bride and groom portraits, headed to Houston Street Ballroom for family portraits and then got everyone ready for the ceremony!
Brandon and Chelsea’s ceremony was lovely! They had Houston Street Ballroom decorated beautifully!
After the ceremony, we got on the party bus! Everyone was happy to be able to have a few drinks and relax for a bit!
We arrived at Wildcat Park to do a few fun wedding party photos & gorgeous bride and groom portraits —
And finally, we were at the reception! They started with toasts and Chelsea cried lots of happy tears!
After toasts, dinner, and the cake cutting, Brandon and Chelsea hopped in my car and we drove a few blocks to the parking garage to capture a few bride and groom sunset portraits.
Then we were back to the reception for the wedding march and first dances!
After the special dances, the dance floor was open and filled with happy guests!
Brandon + Chelsea — Congratulations on your 1-year anniversary! Thank you again for trusting me to capture your wedding day! It was wonderful meeting you — and I love following your journey on Facebook. Hope you’re both doing well!
