Old Stone Church Wedding | Chris+Jessica | Maple Hill, KS
Happy 1-year anniversary to Chris and Jessica! They tied the knot on 3/19/2016 during their Old Stone Church wedding in Maple Hill and followed their wedding with an eventful reception at the George J. Perry Armory in Saint Marys, KS! We all had high hopes of gorgeous weather for their wedding day, but sure enough, a very windy and cold front came through the day before their wedding. But I promised Jessica that we wouldn’t let that stop us from creating gorgeous photos from her wedding day!
Here are the vendors that contributed to their perfect wedding day:
Ceremony Venue: Old Stone Church, Maple Hill, KS
Reception Venue: George J. Perry Armory, Saint Marys, KS
Dress Designer: Enzoani, purchased at Celebrations of the Heart
Make-up: Andi Hick of Brynk Salon and Color Bar
Caterer+Cake Designer: Sweet Dreams Catering
DJ: John @ Making Memories Entertainment
We started the day with the ladies getting ready at a nearby location and I captured each detail of their wedding day — mostly within the Old Stone Church because it was too beautiful — I loved the simple white paired with the woodworking!
After everyone was ready, the ladies and I headed to the Old Stone Church for some portraits — and Jessica sure made one beautiful bride! The ladies opted to stay inside and I loved the clean background of the church! The guys told me they were tough enough, so we used the church as a wind block and headed outside for a few!
Below is my absolute favorite image from Chris and Jessica’s ceremony. The Pastor asked Jessica’s sons if they were ready to add Chris as a father into their family — Dominic (youngest) immediately told the Pastor yes but then looked to older brother, Brayden for confirmation. This moment seriously made my heart melt!
After the ceremony, we went outside for a few photos. We found a gorgeous spot literally right behind the church! And used the wind to our advantage — I love how it made Jessica’s veil blow behind her! Since Chris is a firefighter, we of course had to incorporate the firetruck too!
Then we were off to the reception! Jessica of course had fun and gorgeous details there as well!
